This community was founded to support the Archives of Excellence and the Golden Quill Awards websites.
The idea is to get more writers on board and taking part in the various activities associated with the Archives.
Archives of Excellence
The Archives of Excellence is a rec site for great fanfiction writers of every fandom. They have profiles there with links to some of their stories. Some of the writers also have galleries to showcase their artwork, and there's a monthly writing challenge. The best entries are added to the Story Challenges page at the Archives.
The Golden Quill Awards
The Golden Quill Awards is an annual awards program for stories from any fandom. Family-friendly stories are nominated by genre, and voted for in polls. Nominations begin in March.
On this community, writers can submit and vote for stories for the monthly writing challenge, and recommend writers for the Archives. It's meant to serve as a forum for members. Announcements regarding the associated Golden Quill Awards will be made here.
People who love drama can go elsewhere: I don't suffer fools gladly.
Cyberbullies and trolls of every stripe are barred from participating in my awards programs and other online activities. People who make targets of other people and work to ruin other people's reputations are not welcome on any of my e-spaces.
I have NO desire to associate in any way with people who behave badly towards anyone, anywhere. People who refuse to accept that are welcome to set up their own awards. It's not hard.
Since this clears the field for people who don't usually win awards or contests to get something, it should free them up a bit.
Taking part in my online contests and awards is emphatically NOT taking sides: you don't have to like me to take part - just being neutral will do. Voting is completely anonymous, so it doesn't matter who votes and I've got no control over it. That is as far as I'll go.

Ratings up to R. I don't mind a bit of horror, but I don't want graphic or gratuitous anything. Use movie ratings as a guide - I'll go up to 16, but no higher.
